All business in Mirpur Mathelo came to a halt on Friday at the call of the Hindu Panchayat, following the alleged kidnapping of a young Hindu woman from the old market area.
Nineteen-year-old Rinkle’s father, Nand Lal, told the Mirpur Mathelo police that she was kidnapped by Naveed Ahmed Shah, who lived in Sufi Mohallah.
Head Constable Ghulam Ali told The Express Tribune that her father only informed the police and did not register a case.
The Hindu Panchayat is trying to find her on its own.
According to sources, Rinkle and Naveed fell in love and on Friday, she left her house and went to Daharki to Mian Mohammad Aslam of Bharchoondi Sharif. The couple plans to go to court on Saturday to submit their statements. Naveed’s family has moved to an undisclosed location.
Mian Mohammad Aslam, the son of Pakistan Peoples Party MNA Mian Abdul Haq, told The Express Tribune, that the couple visited him on Friday and the girl expressed her desire to convert to Islam and marry Naveed. Aslam informed the girl’s father and asked him to meet his daughter to confirm her wishes.
After waiting for Lal for more than five hours, the couple was taken to the Dargah Aalia Qadria Bharchoondi Sharif where she embraced Islam. Pir Mian Abdul Hayee alias Mian Shaman named her Faryal and solemnised the nikkah.
Aslam said that he also informed the Mirpur Mathelo DSP Syed Abbas Shah about the marriage.
Her uncle admitted that the family was informed by Aslam about her wishes to covert to Islam but remained adamant that she was under pressure to say so.
The girl’s family said that going to Daharki would have been useless and Aslam should have taken the girl to the SSP’s office instead.

If muslim girl have love marriage with even muslim boy in pakistan , they try to kill her and call her as bad character (Kaari), but if there is hindu girl have love marriage with muslim boy they call her good character .This is all selfishness and wickedness ,they just try to grab some one's innocent girl and make her slave for whole life and leave the girl,s parents in tears .Actually this is sin, they should inform the parents like a sincere and good citizen.
what a game done by people. Minorities are facing critical problems. these types of crime increasing just because of wadera and chief system even though GOVT is supporting them.. the lake of cordination we are going to be downward now we have to decide that pak is our country or india is our country. if we all hindus will make a set up in india or another country then revenue of sindh will be downward and it impects on whole sindh because majority of hindus they are businessman atleast we need to struggle ownself here i must say that our minorities ministers must resign from their seats MNA's or MPA's and particept the protest which all hindu council has been organising in KARACHI PRESS CLUB on sunday 2 luch time all people are invited

it's not fair because girl was told in court that she has kidnapped by the naveed shah. girl has told that she was in high torcher to convert to islam .

Off course they will, if it ever happens.The fact is,never in history a Muslim girl eloped with a hindu guy.No disrespect meant,please, just stating a fact.

It doesn't make sense.Why would the father just inform the police if he doesn't want to register a case.I'm sure he is under no statutory obligation to do so.Knowing Pakistani police it can safely be assumed that the police refused to register the case.
2.Naveed’s family has moved to an undisclosed location.
Why is that? Were they under any threat? Was the girl's family running after them with a gun in their hand?

A marriage between two individuals is a life defining decision.Why couldn't they wait longer and made efforts to ensure that the conversion/marriage takes place in the presence of her father.Is this five hour waiting is the mandatory maximum waiting period under Pakistani law? Hindus are sitting ducks in Pakistan.
The girl has now told the court that she was kidnapped and was forced to convert to islam, but court has adjourned the hearing till monday.isn't it strange when someone says yes to conversion the court take immediate decision while when this girl has refused to convert the hearing has been adjourned. i know all this because i belong from same city i know this girl very well.
I know of few families in India where a Hindu has married a Muslim, be it Hindu girl marrying Muslim Boy or Muslim boy marrying Hindu girl, but neither has converted to the other's religion. They are happy and each one practicing their religion in the same house. One of my Muslim friend here in USA has married a Hindu girl and the girl did not convert. They celebrate Hindu and Muslim festivals together with their families and friends. I know of similar instances in Bangladesh also. Conversion may be a requirement in Pakistan and some other countries but not necessary for many in India.
