In Flames: Shops, hotel gutted in fire
The cause of the fire has not been ascertained, said official sources.

A hotel and two shops and part of a government school near Bohara Mohalla were destroyed in a fire on Tuesday evening.
The cause of the fire has not been ascertained, said official sources. Eye witnesses and the police said the fire broke out in the upper portion of Sultan Hotel which was completely gutted by the fire.
The flames engulfed a nearby furniture shop, a private clinic and the external portion of Government Girls Higher Secondary School.
The fire would have spread to the nearby residential area and a place of worship for the Bohra sect had the firefighters not reached the scene in time, claimed DCO Abbottabad.
He said that firefighters from Haripur, Havelian, Mansehra and Abbottabad took part in the operation and managed to put out the fire. Eyewitnesses said that the authorities put out the fire after three hours. By that time, the hotel and the two shops were completely gutted causing losses in the hundreds thousands to the owners.
