GUJRANWALA: A set of healthy quintuplets (five babies) was born in a private hospital to one Sameena, a resident of a village Chehl Kalan village near Qila Deedar Singh.

The mother and children have been given a clean bill of health by medical staff in the hospital. The five newborns include three sons and two daughters. Sameena’s husband Maqsood said he brought his wife into the hospital late on Sunday night and the delivery went smoothly. The nurse who delivered the babies, Rukhsana said that the children were healthy, “The mother delivered all five children without needed to be operated on. These were all natural births.” The hospital administration has expressed their joy and surprise that all five children were healthy. “It is rare for all the children to survive in such cases but we are glad that they are all doing so well,” said Dr Ali Rehman.

The hospital administration has shifted the children to the nursery and said that large crowds had been gathering to see the children all day long on Monday. Maqsood, the father of the children, told the press that he was ‘overjoyed on receiving the news of the birth of his children and was glad they were all healthy’.
