Matriculation exams: Practicals to precede theory exams for grade 10

KARACHI:

The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) announced the examination schedule for classes IX and X, science and general groups, on Sunday.

According to BSEK’s controller of examinations, Rafia Mallah, practical examinations are scheduled from March 1 to 19, to be followed by theory examinations from April 5 to May 7. Mallah added that her office would release admit cards of candidates to school heads from February 23 to February 26.

Meanwhile, the Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen has allowed all candidates who enrolled in 2009 and failed to clear their matriculation examinations after exhausting five attempts to reappear in this year’s annual examinations. The practical examinations of these students will take place in their respective schools.
