LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Wednesday dismissed a petition that sought directions to Punjab government to stop Pak Tea House’s reopening. Justice Umar Ata Bandial observed that the famous tea house was a place that used to be frequented by intellectuals, poets and writers and it could not be closed. The petition had been filed by Zahid Hassan who had requested that the court to bar the Punjab government from reopening Pak Tea House at the property that was leased to his father in 1947 and transferred to him after his father’s death.
