Armed men attack Balochistan check post, kill 2 personnel

Sub-Inspector, Constable received multiple bullet wounds, die on the spot, while two others critically wounded.

QUETTA: Two personnel of Balochistan Constabulary (BC) were killed and two others sustained injuries when a group of armed men ambushed a check post near Chatter area in Nasirabad district.

According to officials, a group of men armed with automatic weapons encircled the check post, set up by BC, and fired at the personnel manning the check post.

During the intense exchange of firing, Sub-Inspector BC Wahid Bhaksh and Constable Baddar Uddin received multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot, while two other officers were critical wounded.

There was no report of causalities on the part of attackers.

A heavy contingent of police and security forces rushed to the spot soon after the incident and threw a cordon around the area.

Police have launched a search operation in the area.
