Missing records: Anti-corruption sweep in 5 union council offices

Anti-Corruption Department said they were searching for the records from 2009 to 2011.

HYDERABAD: Five union council offices in Tando Muhammad Khan were raided by the Anti-Corruption Department (ACD) on Friday. No records of budget expenditures were found and the officers escaped before they could be questioned.

According to the ACD assistant director, Shabbir Memon, the provincial government distributes a monthly budget of Rs3.2 million among the district’s 16 union councils. They were searching for the records from 2009 to 2011.

The anti-corruption police raided the office of the district officer, Imdad Mallah, on the same day but he also escaped.
