Monsoon Season: City tasked with clearing drains

Karachi Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed has directed his staff to complete the cleaning of drains ahead of the monsoon rains and improve the existing condition of six major drains. A plan for a pitcher drain has been prepared and all the boundary walls, roofs and culverts of drains will be repaired before the monsoon rains. Additionally, the Korangi Crossing Road, 8000 Road, 12000 Road, Sharah-e-Altaf, Hub River Road, Mosamyat Road and other roads will be linked with their drains. Surveys have to be conducted of the Memon Masjid MA Jinnah Road nullah, Akbar Road nullah, Soldier Bazaar nullah, Lucky Star nullah and Coast Guard nullah in the next three days.
