Personal Vengeance: Teacher shot and injured outside school

Maulana Abdul Hannan, was attacked by unidentified gunmen near Nazimabad No.1 on Tuesday.

KARACHI: A 50-year-old teacher, Maulana Abdul Hannan, was attacked by unidentified gunmen near Nazimabad No.1 on Tuesday. Hannan taught Arabic at the Karachi Cambridge School and was also associated with the Idara al Madina Rehmania. According to the police, Hannan was approached by two armed men while he was leaving the school. The men shot him in the belly and chest and fled. Hannan was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment. DSP Rehmatullah ruled out the possibility of a sectarian attack and said that the police suspected it to be a case of personal enmity.
