Mohsin Khan will be shown the door as Pakistan’s coach after the tour of the UAE if Zaka Ashraf’s quotes are anything to go by.
With the clean-sweep in the bag, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief has termed the 2015 World Cup the team’s real target, the ascent to which requires a qualified coach. Ashraf, while talking to reporters, said that despite recent success, a qualified coach was required for a longer period, who can help Pakistan achieve their real targets.
“No doubt the team has achieved tremendous success under Mohsin,” said Ashraf. “But we need a qualified coach. Our target is the World Cup for which we want to bring a qualified head coach.”
The PCB interviewed Dav Whatmore for the position and he looks the most likely to get the board’s nod.
Akhtar supports Mohsin
Meanwhile, former fast-bowler Shoaib Akhtar wants Mohsin to be appointed as the permanent coach.
“Mohsin has gelled the team well,” said Akhtar. “I don’t see any reason to remove him and the PCB should make his appointment permanent.”

Zaka Ashraf deserves to be acclaimed for having set a clear objective to be achieved by Pakistan.That is to win the most coveted trophy in international cricket-the World Cup.Winning the World Cup is a tough task for there are number of other teams that will participate in that tournament such as Australia and South Africa,which have players of high quality and calibre. .To beat these teams in a tournament that will be played in Australia and New Zealand Pakistan has to raise its cricketing standard especially in batting during the short period available before the tournament kicks off.To achieve this PCB need to come out with a strategy and plan to pick some of the most promising young batsmen in the domestic scene and put them through a crash programme aimed at giving them some intensive coaching in batting with the guidance of Dev Whatmore.This why we support the appointment of Whatmore over Mohsin Khan.Whatmore has the skill and expertise to raise the batting standard of the Pakistan players.All these will not yield the desired result unless Pakistan player's fielding and catching improve to attain the international standard.Currently Pakistan is the worst team in fielding and catching.It need to be driven into the players that catches win matches.
Mohsin should be a permanent coach.
Shame PCB , you know what there is no lack of talent in Pakistan that we are in need of a qualified coach , we need someone from us who can keep that talent united and a single force to defeat the opponent in any match,any tournament .
