Sectarian: Three suspects remanded to police custody for 14 days

The police asked the judge for physical custody of the suspects in four cases including the possession of explosives.

The three suspects arrested for the murder of three Shia lawyers were remanded to the physical custody of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) for 14 days by two Anti-Terrorism Courts of the Karachi division on Friday.


Muhammad Taufiq Ansari, Salhuddin Israel and Maulana Muhammad Rashid were produced before Judge Khalida Yaseen and were remanded into police custody for three cases registered under section 13 D of the Arms Ordinance with deals with the possession of illegal weapons, encounter with the police and attempt to kill policemen. The suspects were also produced before Judge Bashir Ahmed Khoso. The police asked the judge for physical custody of the suspects in four cases including the possession of explosives. The investigation officer asked for their custody and told the judge that the suspects had confessed to being involved in 23 terrorism cases.
