Cricket: Ashraf nominated for top ICC post

ECB chairman nominates Zaka Ashraf for the position of the world governing body’s president for 2015.

KARACHI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) Executive Board has nominated Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Zaka Ashraf for the position of the world governing body’s president in 2015.

The proposal was put forward by England and Wales Cricket Board Chairman Giles Clarke at the ICC Board meeting in Dubai. If accepted, the post will be occupied by Bangladesh Cricket Board President Mustafa Kamal for a one-year term in 2014, succeeded by Ashraf’s term for the same duration in 2015.
