As a reward for their outstanding performance, the government has awarded Rs3 million to the nine students who excelled in an international business plan competition.
An award ceremony was held at the main campus of National University of Science and Technology on Monday, during which Science and Technology Secretary Akhlaq Ahmad Tarar distributed the cheques to the students on behalf of the Prime Minister.
The competition ‘Global Innovation through Science and Technology - Battle of Ideas World Cup 2011’, was held in Istanbul from December 3 to December 6 last year.
The competition was attended by 43 teams from across the world including two teams from NUST, which showed a remarkable performance by achieving second position in the victory stand.
