India vs Australia: A routine humiliation
Australia crush India by 298 runs to seal 4-0 Test series whitewash.

Australia crushed India by 298 runs to wrap up a 4-0 series whitewash on the final day of the fourth Test at the Adelaide Oval.
The end was swift as Australia snapped up the final four wickets in an hour to dismiss India for 201 and inflict the tourists’ eighth consecutive away-Test loss. Set an improbable 500-run target for victory, India never got close as Ishant Sharma, Wriddhiman Saha, Zaheer Khan and Umesh Yadav provided little resistance.
‘We’re on our way to the top’
Australia captain Michael Clarke declared that his team were on their way back to the top although plenty of hard work lay ahead.
“We’re not the number one team so it’s about us trying to become better every single match,” said Clarke. “We’ve still got a lot of work to do, but we’ve shown a lot of people that we’re on the way up.”
Meanwhile, India’s stand-in captain Virender Sehwag felt that fans should back the team and not seek explanations for their dispiriting loss.
