FAISALABAD:

A woman allegedly killed her husband with the help of her paramour in the Tarkhani police station precincts on Friday. According to police officials, Chak No45-GB resident Abdur Rasheed was married to two women Safia and Attiya Parveen.

Rasheed’s second wife Parveen has seven children and he recently accused her of having an affair with a local youth, Tanveer.  Rasheed publicly reprimanded Parveen and threatened Tanveer but she fled the area two days ago.

According to eyewitnesses, Parveen and Tanveer returned to the village on Thursday night and killed Rasheed in his sleep by smashing his head with an iron rod. Police officials have registered a case on the complaint of the deceased’s son from his first marriage, Mubasshar Ali, and his first wife Safia against Parveen and Tanveer under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). Police officials said that the accused had been arrested and they had started an investigation.
