Conspiracy theory: ‘Amendment, a step towards division’

KARACHI: The resolution for making new provinces in the 20th constitutional Amendment is a clear violation of the provincial autonomy and the 18th Amendment, said Awami National Party Sindh’s Bashir Jan on Thursday. Jan met a delegation of the Sindh United Party (SUP), led by Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah, at Bacha Khan Markaz. Shah conceded that the 20th Amendment is a step towards the division of the four provinces, especially Sindh. Both parties said that they will stand against it. ANP’s participation in the Sindh nationalist parties’ strike on January 28 will be decided after its central working committee and party provincial cabinet meeting.
