QUETTA: Gas supply to Quetta and other townships of Balochistan was restored on Wednesday afternoon after remaining suspended for three days. However, pressure remained very low. It is projected that the gas supply will be restored with full pressure around Thursday noon, an official of the SSGC said. Gas supply to the province was disrupted after unknown persons blew up an 18-inch diameter high pressure gas pipeline in Sui on Sunday night. The SSGC team repaired the damaged pipeline on Tuesday after receiving a security clearance.  The main pipeline was blown up four times during one month with the outlawed Baloch Republican Army (BRA) claiming responsibility. People faced hardships due to the suspension of natural gas supply as temperature dropped to minus 8 to 9 Celsius in Balochistan.
