FAISALABAD: A man stoned his niece to death as he suspected her of having an affair. According to police officials, Chak No501 GB resident Ghulam Mustafa killed his niece Kishwar, after he heard reports that she was involved with someone in their village. Mustafa tied Kishwar up in a room and smashed her head with a brick before bruising her body with bricks. Several eyewitnesses in the village said that Mustafa publicly asked his niece to end the relationship and she denied the charges. “Then he began throwing bricks at her and dragged her into the house. He later fled the scene,” said a neighbour, Bakhtawar Bibi. Police have registered a case against the accused on the complaint of the deceased’s father Muhammad Ismail.
