Corporate compliance requirements discussed

Speakers highlight features of eServices regime for companies.

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) organised a seminar, in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), at the ICAP House here, which highlighted corporate compliance requirements in the wake of modernisation of compliance culture for companies operating in the eServices regime.


Executive Director of SECP’s (Corporatisation and Compliance) Department, Nazir Ahmed Shaheen, delivered a keynote address on the subject of ‘corporate compliance and its importance’ and touched on the governing statute for companies and SECP’s role as an apex regulator of the corporate sector and capital market.

Deputy Registrar Companies of SECP’s Company Registration Office in Lahore, Sidra Mansur, introduced the participants to the eServices project, sharing its features that made it more user-friendly for the companies.
