Kidnapped?: German NGO personnel go missing

Police had already cordoned off Multan and ordered extensive checks of cars.

MULTAN: The personnel of a German humanitarian organization, Welthungerhilfe, have been kidnapped from the Western fort colony of Qasim Bela in Multan. Burnd, one of the foreigners kidnapped, belongs to Germany and his designation was administration officer of the southern Punjab region. Intelligence personnel have confirmed that the foreigners have been unavailable for many hours and they have been kidnapped as their cell phones are also off. On the other side, the local spokesperson,  Farzana Shah of the Welthungerhilfe denied having any information and said that she cannot confirm the kidnapping. Eyewitnesses told The Express Tribune that 3 unknown armed personnel entered their compound and brought foreigners outside after much resistance by the victims. Police had already cordoned off Multan and ordered extensive checks of cars.
