SUKKUR: A 14-year-old girl was killed allegedly by her stepbrother on the pretext of karo-kari in Sarfo Mahar village, on Tuesday. Hasina Khatoun fled from her house four days ago and eloped to marry Luqman Jatoi. Upon the intervention of the community’s elders to calm the two families, Hasina returned to her parents. On Tuesday, her step-brother, Rafiq Dhamiyo, allegedly shot Hasina while her father was at the market. She died on the spot. Lakhi Ghulam Shah DSP Zahid Mirani said that the girl’s father Shahnawaz has registered a case against Rafiq but no one has been arrested yet.
