The Anti-Human Trafficking Cell of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a travel agent allegedly involved in human trafficking.
Akbar Sarki, an FIA official, said that a team raided a travel agency in Malir Cantt and arrested Khurram Shehzad on the complaint of Maulvi Zubair.
Sarki said that Shehzad took around Rs254,000 from Zubair for sending him to Masqat with a fake work visa. Shehzad assured him that he will get a salary of Rs40,000 in Masqat but he was deported from there.
According to Sarki, Shehzad was also a private bank official and his father was a civilian employee in the army. The FIA lodged a case against Shehzad.
Meanwhile, the Airport Security Force (ASF) apprehended a woman, Shumaila, from Jinnah Terminal at Quaid-e-Azam International Airport and found 2.5 kilogrammes of heroin from her suitcase. Shumaila was flying to Bangladesh.
