Sources confirmed that deputy shift station manager, Arshad Ali Rind was released on Wednesday morning after being kept in the lockers overnight.
Upon his release, Arshad said that he had been asked to delay a flight leaving for Sukkur on Saturday morning on which IG Sindh was supposed to travel. But the flight took off on its scheduled time, with the IG Sindh arriving 15 minutes late.
As a consequence of not delaying the flight, Arshad was detained and kept at the Boat Basin police station for one night, where he was also reportedly tortured.
The police has refused to comment on the incident.

at least call an expelenation from IG also, he must have told for this
The station manager deserves to be given a promotion for doing his job properly and the fellow who had him fired should be given exemplary punishment. The media should continue to highlight the outcome of this incident as a warning to people who abuse their power.
No suspension for IG Sindh?
It is not the small fry who needs to be suspended, but the person on whose order the PIA employee was made to have a "hawalat ki sair". Till such time we really act, we cannot improve as a Pakistani.
the ig must be taught a lesson
We need to think, it is our country let stand up get rid of these stupid people
We surely are a very corrupt nation!
Typical Pakistani Style, if you do your job -- RIGHT ... you are not right for the job.
