Snooker: Baig, Rehman progress in Sindh Cup

KARACHI: Shadab Baig, Sunny Shahni, Ali Zaidi, Najamul Rehman along with 14 cueists progressed to the fifth round of the Sindh Snooker Cup qualifiers yesterday. Baig beat Babar Rafiq 3-0 while Shahni outclassed Imran Shah by the same scoreline. Zaidi defeated Abid Ali 50-82, 11-56, 55-35, 73-30, 68-54 and Rehman downed Fahad Mirza 62-74, 63-46, 58-42, 77-23. Top players from the qualifiers will compete against Sindh’s top cueists in the main round that starts from January 17.
