NBP prevailed over Army 6-1 as the much-awaited clash in the 31st under-21 National Hockey Championship turned out to be a one-sided affair. Ayub Ali’s treble helped NBP gain a 4-1 lead at half-time at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore. In another match, SSGC defeated Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) 6-0 with Waseem Abbas and Safeer Hussain contributing a brace apiece. Punjab Whites beat HEC 1-0 while Railways played out a 2-2 draw against Punjab Colours. Three matches will be played today with K-P facing Sindh, Fata taking on Islamabad and Punjab Whites pitted against Balochistan.
