Mutilations: Tortured woman gets free surgery

Woman's husband cut her lips and nose, after she gave birth to the couples’ fourth daughter.

MULTAN: A woman whose husband had cut her lips and nose received free plastic surgery at Nishtar Hospital on Monday. According to health officials, Balochistan’s Durgh tribe member Salma Bibi’s husband mutilated her a few months ago after she gave birth to the couples’ fourth daughter. Salma Bibi received treatment at Nishtar Hospital where a team of experts conducted plastic surgery on her upper lip and facial reconstruction is scheduled within this week.
