Bribery: Inquiry against 3 cops

MUZAFFARGARH: The Dera Ghazi Khan Anti-Corruption director has ordered an inquiry against three police officials who allegedly obtained Rs 50,000 from a youth for helping him get recruited in the police. In an application to the department, complainant Mazhar Hussain stated that ASI Sajjad Hussain and Constables Niaz Hussain and Baqar Hussain had taken Rs50,000 from him and assured him of a job at the DPO office in scale-IV. Mazhar alleged that the police officials had not kept up their end of the bargain and also refused to return his money. He said that the officials had also threatened him after he asked them to return the money.
