Two held with drugs

LAHORE:

Masti Gate police arrested two suspected drug peddlers and seized pills worth about Rs1.5 million.

The arrests were made during checking after the police received secret information about the suspects' movement in the area.

A police team intercepted and detained the suspects, Hammad Ishtiaq and Abdul Rehman.

The police said the suspects were involved in selling synthetic drugs, referred to as "dancing pills", and operated on foot in different localities of the city to avoid detection.

A substantial quantity of the pills was seized from them.

A case was registered against the suspects under relevant sections of the law and investigation was under way.
