QUETTA: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader and Speaker Balochistan Assembly Aslam Bhootani announced to lay a siege around a private power plant in Hub, on Sunday.

Addressing a gathering in Hub, Bhootani said that the people of Lasbela district had complained that HUBCO had adopted a discriminatory attitude by hiring outsiders instead of locals.

He told the gathering that he had raised this issue on several occasions with the concerned management officials but to no avail.

“The discriminatory attitude of the power plant's management has forced me to join the people in launching a protest campaign,” Bhootani said, adding that he will lead the people in this protest.

He said that the protest will continue until grievances of the locals were addressed by the company.
