SUKKUR:
A young girl identified as 17-year-old Shahida and a young boy were shot dead in the Jalal Jagirani village on the pretext of karo kari on Thursday, said the Mahota police. A group of men armed with weapons raided the village and attacked Shahida and her 14-year-old cousin Saeed. Villagers claim that it was the result of an old enmity between two groups of the Jagirani tribe which started five years ago over a minor issue. Saeed was Safar’s younger brother. Saeed’s father has registered a case against seven suspects including Ali Hasan Jagirani at the Mahota police station.
