Armed encounter: Suspect dies, three caught in raid

A man was shot dead and three were arrested during an alleged encounter with CID.

KARACHI: A man was shot dead and three were arrested during an alleged encounter with the Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Qazzafi Chowk in Orangi on Friday. According to SSP Chaudhry Mohammad Aslam Khan, criminals engaged the police in an exchange of fire. Imran, alias Daddo, was shot dead, while his three associates, Imran alias Immi, Mohammad Azeem and Mohammad Naeem were arrested. Three TT pistols were also found from them, he said. The victim’s body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. SSP Khan said that the men were involved in five murders.
