Crime: Man killed for resisting robbery

RAWALPINDI: Three armed robbers killed a man for resisting a robbery in the Westridge area late on Friday. Suraya Bibi lodged a report with the police on Saturday that three armed men entered their house at around midnight and held them at gunpoint. She said they robbed gold ornaments and Rs5,000 and were about to leave when her husband Muhammad Ilyas tried to resist them, upon which they opened fire and killed him on the spot. The police have registered a case.
