Power generation: Plan to make AJK self-sufficient

Government is devising a plan to make Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) self-sufficient in hydel power generation

MIRPUR: The government is devising a comprehensive plan to make Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) self-sufficient in hydel power generation, said AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed during a news conference on Friday. Majeed said the government has fulfilled its promise of establishing two medical colleges in Muzaffarabad and Mirpur and now the government is focusing on establishing a state-of-the-art university for women within the next two months to encourage higher education. “The government is answerable to the people and we intend to uphold their trust,” he said.

I thought AZad Jammu & Kashmir was self suffiecient in power generation. Isn't Mangla power generation capacity enough to meet its need?
