LARKANA: After the floods, only 45,000 were provided relief in Jacobabad district out of the total 135,000, while 90,000 still await financial assistance, assessed the provincial coordinators, commissioners and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) officers at a meeting on Thursday. These remaining people including 8,000 from Larkana district and 1911 from Kashmore and Kandhkot areas will be compensated through Watan cards as soon as the funds are released. The meeting also decided to approach the cabinet division to increase the time period for providing damage compensation and discussed how to activate the Grievances Resolve Committees (GRCs).
