Kashmir conflict: AJK PPP calls for tri-partite resolution

MIRPUR (AJK): The Azad Kashmir chapter of the Pakistan Peoples Party called on Wednesday for an early resolution to the Kashmir conflict through tri-partite talks between Pakistan, India and what they referred to as the ‘acknowledged leadership’ of Jammu and Kashmir. Talking to newsmen, President of the PPP AJK chapter Munir Hussain Chaudhry emphasised that it falls upon both India and Pakistan to sincerely move for the early peaceful settlement of the issue. He demanded that the people of Kashmir be involved in the peace process. The Kashmiri leader said that since Pakistan was already prepared to discuss the Kashmir issue, India should give response in kind.
