Public Transport: 113 buses to add emergency gates

During the last two months, CNG cylinders of 1,109 public transport vehicles had been examined.

FAISALABAD: Transport Vehicles Department of the district government has directed owners of 113 buses to install emergency exits in their vehicles to minimise the loss of life in case of an accident. The Regional Transport Authority secretary said that during the last two months,  CNG cylinders of 1,109 public transport vehicles including 570 buses, 510 vans, 12 rickshaws and 17 AVP vehicles had been examined and the owners of those with faulty or substandard equipment directed to fix the defect or replace the cylinder.
