KARACHI: The Pakistan Society for Training and Development (PSTD) will hold an International Women Leaders Summit in Karachi on January 25 as part of its fourth Women in Business Conference (WIBCON) series, said PSTD Director Aamir Niazi while speaking at a press conference on Monday. Niazi said the conference would bring together professional women from different countries for exchange of ideas and panel discussions for human resource training and development. Keynote speakers will include former Bangladesh minister Rokia Afzal Rehman, Afghan broadcaster Jamila Mujahed, Turkish novelist Elif Shafak, former Pakistan ambassador to the US Dr Maleeha Lodhi and entrepreneur Farzeen Irtizaz. Niazi said about 125 seats had been reserved in the conference for female professionals belonging to both urban and rural areas of Pakistan. PSTD board member Fariha Salahuddin said the objective of the conference was to train Pakistani women in productivity enhancement.
