UAF: Two more get doctorates

Tally of doctorate degree holders at the university rises to 911.

FAISALABAD: Two people were awarded PhD degrees at University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) on Monday, raising the tally of doctorate degree holders at the university to 911. The scholars were identified by the UAF as: Muhammad Ashraf, son of Muhammad Sadiq from the Institute of Microbiology and Nasir Mahmood, son of Ghulam Nabi, from the Department of Agricultural Extension. The titles of their PhD research were “Implications of the adoption of water saving irrigation interventions for enhancing wheat yield at small farms in Faisalabad”, and, “Evaluation of locally isolated Lactobacillus species as probiotics in broiler chicken”, respectively. The degrees were awarded after approval of their research and on recommendation of the external examiners by UAF vice chancellor Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad.
