Three dead in Multan road accident

MULTAN: Three people were killed in a road accident on Multan Wahari chowk bypass, Express News reported on Saturday.

According to initial reports, there was dense fog on the bypass when a speeding bus ran into a rickshaw and crushed it.

Two of the deceased were women belonging to the same family.

Earlier this week, a woman and her infant daughter were killed in Islamabad after being hit by a speeding vehicle on Islamabad Highway.

In Northern areas of the country, fog becomes a major reason for accidents in the winters. Earlier, the Lahore Motorway was closed due to low visibility to prevent accidents.

The Motorway police also convoyed traffic coming from Islamabad to Lahore up to the Kala Shah Kaku Interchange during this time, while vehicles wanting to enter Islamabad from the interchange were not allowed in.
