Son of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa information minister killed

NOWSHERA: The son of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain was killed by unidentified gunmen near Nowshera.

The incident occurred in Pabbi area near Nowshehra district where Mian Rashid left his home along with his friend Mian Amjad for an evening walk.

Unidentified persons opened fire on them and both were injured in the incident. They were taken to the hospital where Rashid succumbed to his injuries.

He was the only son of Mian Iftikhar Hussain.

Police have cordoned off the area and search operation is currently underway.

According to Interior Minister Rehman Malik, the information minister and his family were on a target list.

This will be a long and ugly fight but we have no choice; either we fight now or become colonized by these barbarians.

May be ANP is being targeted for taking strict measures against taliban? If this is true than taliban sympathisers should be asked why they indirectly support taliban? Out of fear or out of alliance?

We need to develop a better intelligence network in every part of city to deal with this menace. Talibans are now everywhere, in every city and town, and many madrassas are sheltering them. The network of madrassas needs strict control.

nazarrabi | 14 years ago | Reply most of them anp leaders has been killed by the enemy within pashtons right now its a joke kill a pashton call him a taliban and you will get away with it i personally think the enemy within pashtons are killing pashton leaders especially those who work for the pashtons there have been the target they are arab nationalist involved in this part of regions punjabis farsi speakers hazaras hinku speakers don't forget the mqm all these are against the pashtons so pashtun should think twice before they pull the trigger on other pashtons just because some of them see themselves taliban i am not saying they are not sold out pashtons of course they are but the biggest threat to the pashtons is the nation who are sorrounding us of course the west have there own interest this part of the pashton lands is a central to all or most asien countries we share borders with so many countries and everybody wants an access to another country from this land all pashton should unite at one start educating there own children get rid of foren languages once and for all there should be indenitity people should be recongnised before they get access or set a foot on our land everybody just comes and goes as they please shoot to kill you make a weopen you can use it on our children test it on us we are like a guinea pigs although i use to thought pashton was one of the most gharatmand nation but now i realise we are one of the most bagharat divided nations on planet earth we never learn from our mistakes we are so thick we see our selves a brave because of this bravery people us and abuse us we have no problem sending our women to urdu class farsi arabi english but when it comes to pashto everything just goes against islam how many tv channels that we have on our land none in pashtu the pakistan government tested there nuclear bombs on pashtun land only and most of the bombs has been kept in karachi and punjab afghanistan pashtun have used again and again in the name of bravery we have over six hundren thousand widows in afghanistan when imran khan wants to make a cancer hospital he makes it in punjab basically our children and our women has been used and abused and we dont learn.

Taliban is the brainchild of Pakistani state. They are the enemies of the Pashtun nation and Pashtunwali. Pashtuns have to wake up and decide about what they want for the future, once and for all.

One more person killed who was the only son. Chief Justice of Pakistan should contitute special courts where speedy trails should take place and hearing of murder cases should be conducted on daily basis by the judges so that family of the victim should get justice in the first instance.
