Robberies: More than Rs2m looted

FAISALABAD: Muhammad Nawaz, resident of Jameel Town, Dijkot, was deprived of valuables worth more than two million rupees in a house robbery on Monday night. According to the FIR registered in Dijkot police station, six armed robbers broke in to Nawaz’s house and took away Rs700,000, prize bonds worth Rs1 million, 12 tola gold jewellery and cell phones. The police said a case had been registered and investigation started. Elsewhere, valuables worth thousands of rupees were taken away from several villagers by seven armed robbers who had set up a picket in the area.
