Golf: Masih wins Quaid Open

KARACHI: Lahore Gymkhana’s Shafiq Masih clinched the Quaid-i-Azam Open Golf Championship after outplaying 39 competitors in the three-day tournament. Masih was two points behind overnight leader Matloob Ahmed at the start of the third round. However, he struck two birdies to take the lead after 11 holes, and maintained his superiority as Ahmed finished second. Karachi’s Amjad Yousaf secured third position while Mohammad Munir finished fourth.
