LAHORE:
A judicial magistrate has remanded a school principal accused of raping a 13-year-old student in police custody for four days.
The girl testified in court on Saturday, saying she had been tied up and sexually assaulted.
Shehbaz, the principal of the school in Kot Lakhpat, claimed that the act was consensual.
The police produced the accused in court and sought to keep him in custody for another five days, saying they needed the time to interrogate a co-accused, to find the victim’s blood-stained clothes and to inspect the crime scene.
In her testimony, the 13-year-old wept and prayed to the court for justice.
The accused asked her whether it was not true that she had told him she would not let him sleep and then lay down on a bed with him.
She said this was not true, that she was not given the opportunity to say anything as her hands were bound and her mouth was covered up.
She said that on November 27, the principal sent a messenger (the co-accused) to her home asking that she come in to prepare for board exams, even though it was a Sunday.
She said when she got to the school, the principal locked her in a room and attacked her.

@Maria: What exactly is your obsession with US? Wherever you put adults in an authority position over children there are going to be some people who abuse that authority. Such things happen world over, not just in N. America. Don't let preconceived biases cloud your judgement. . The principal has no leg to stand on. A 13 year old child cannot be expected to provide consent. It will still be or should statuary rape.

omg!! this sick paedophile principal is so perverse that he is actually claiming that sleeping with a child was ''consentual'' !! what is wrong with these cavemen,are they still stuck in the dark ages?why is he being only called a rapist,he's a depraved paedophile who is being allowed by the court to mentally torture his victim again.if she's 13 and he admits to sex ,then that's rape right there and then.there is no "sex" with children,it's called "rape".

How many times do you hear of teachers take advantage of children in schools in North America? Too often it seems because now a woman teacher in the US is facing charges for raping a 12 year old boy. It's sad that the people are copying such distasteful things. Children all over the world need to be protected.
