Kasur district police have arrested 118 proclaimed offenders, 96 court absconders and 22 other criminals belonging to eight different gangs during November, DPO Syed Khurram Ali said on Friday. He said 15 pistols, four carbines, a gun and stolen items worth Rs1.85, including a car, a tractor, three motorcycles, gold jewellery and 22 mobile phones, were recovered from the criminals’ possession. The DPO said that in a separate crackdown on illegal weapons 97 pistols, seven mausers, nine carbines, five rifles, 21 guns and 14 magazines were seized in 140 cases. As many as 66 cases were registered against drug peddling suspects.
