Ghotki remarks: Qureshi slammed for anti-PPP tirade

Spokesman for the Bilawal House Ejaz Durrani said the people still remembered Qureshi’s association with Ziaul Haq.

KARACHI: Spokesman for the Bilawal House Ejaz Durrani castigated former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Monday for criticising the PPP leadership. A statement issued by Durrani said the people still remembered Qureshi’s association with General Ziaul Haq, who ruled Pakistan as a dictator for 11 years. He said that Qureshi, in his address at Ghotki, had compared himself with the Muslim conqueror Mehmud Ghaznavi, which was quite an ‘insult’ to the nation.
