LAHORE:

Lahore High Court Chief Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed on Monday issued notice to former chief minister Sardar Dost Muhammad Khan Khsoa on an application from Missal Khan, father of Khosa’s ex-wife Sapna Khan.

Sapna Khan’s father has sought to become a party to a petition for the recovery of his daughter, an actress. Advocate Muhammad Azhar Siddique had filed the petition alleging that Khosa was illegally detaining her. Her sister Hina Khan later became a party to the petition and now her father has applied for the same. The next hearing of the case will be held in the second week of December.

The petitioner says that Sapna Khan was last seen on June 22, 2011, being beaten up by Khosa’s friends and bundled into a car at their GOR-1 residence. At the previous hearing, Khosa told the court that he had divorced the actress on June 19, in a settlement in which he had also gained custody of their daughter Mah Gul. He said that he had not seen her since the divorce.
