Squash: Controversy aids Gaultier's charge

KUWAIT CITY: Gregory Gaultier kept his title hopes on track as he overcame Azlan Iskandar in a controversial finish at the $165,000 Kuwait PSA Cup. The former world number one from France beat the 13th-seed 11-4, 11-7, 11-5 to reach the quarter-finals after Iskandar was penalised a conduct stroke, which concluded the match. "Iskandar had a couple of harsh decisions and should have let them go," said Gaultier. "I'm trying to do that too – learn to forget bad calls – and I can't always do it myself." Earlier, Simon Rosner defeated four-time World Open champion Amr Shabana 11-8, 11-7, 11-6 to reach the last-16.
