Musical protest: We are not beggars say folk musicians

KARACHI: Folk singers and musicians from rural Sindh danced and sang in a protest against Sindh Culture Minister Sassui Palijo, in front of the press club on Wednesday. The protesters from Thatta, Badin, Larkana, Nawabshah and Dadu were holding placards and banners with slogans against Sassui and her father, former member of the Sindh Assembly Ghulam Qadir Palijo. The Sindh Fankar Welfare Association president said that the musicians were invited to a musical show for charity by the deputy commissioner on November 22 at Gymkhana in Thatta, where Palijo father called them beggars and cancelled the show.
