Faisalabad stare at heavy defeat

Abbottabad set to record thumping win in Quaid Trophy.

Faisalabad, who were shot out for a paltry 74 in their first knock, fared just as poorly in their second-innings as Abbottabad were on the verge of a thumping win in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy, according to information provided by the Pakistan Cricket Board. Day two ended with Faisalabad still needing another 195 runs to make the Abbottabad bat again as Mohammad Naeem took three for 18. Earlier, Riaz Khalil hit 67 as Abbottabad were dismissed for 311 in their first-innings.


Meanwhile, Rawalpindi were reduced to 100 for three in their second-innings, still needing another 70 runs to make Islamabad bat again, who resumed on 226 for six, and added 63 to their total before bundling out Rawalpindi for 119.

Blues recover against Sialkot

Karachi Blues put up an improved performance in their second-innings against Sialkot, ending day two at 121 for no loss with Shahzeb Hasan hitting 72.  The hosts, who were bowled out for 166 in their first-innings, gained a lead of 38 after dismissing Sialkot for 249.

ZTBL gain upper hand

ZTBL increased their lead to 164, reaching 119 for one in their second-innings against HBL with Yasir Hameed (44) and Sharjeel Khan (43) set to resume their batting today. Earlier, HBL were shot out for 156.

A low-scoring affair saw Wapda lead by 161 as they managed 169 for seven at stumps against PIA. Wapda, who made 178 in their first knock, bundled out PIA for 186 earlier in the day.

In another match, SBP made 237 for six after NBP were bowled out for 282 in the first-innings.
