LAHORE: A man was sentenced to death on Friday after he was convicted of murder. Additional District and Session Judge Muhammad Sheraz Kiyani awarded the death sentence to Kuki and directed him to pay Rs100,000 in compensation to the heirs of the woman he killed. Pervaiz alias Kuki, a property dealer, gunned down Razia Bibi in 2006 after she purchased a plot directly from its owner, breaking her deal with Kuki under which she had promised to buy a plot with him as the middleman. Kuki had confessed to his crime in court. Another accused, Adnan alias Chand, was released on grounds on reasonable doubt.
